Senior Carter Mason has been selected to receive the bi-weekly Norwell High School ICE Student Spotlight award. Carter is employed at Perma Column Inc. of Ossian in conjunction with the Norwell ICE Program. Carter’s supervisors at Perma Column are Bob Vachon and Ken Dearing. Carter is the son of Cole and Amy Mason.
Working in a manufacturing setting has allowed Carter to operate the SRB and SWP machines that weld rebar for foundation columns. The columns are used for large building and pole barn foundations. He has also learned to use the Ferris wheel machine that performs welds on three plate columns.
After graduation, Carter plans to attend PFW to study psychology. His ultimate career plan is to attend med school to become a psychiatrist.
