Senior Brooklynn Pine has been selected to receive the bi-weekly Norwell High School Internship Spotlight award. Brooklynn has been doing her experience at both Ossian and Lancaster Elementary Latchkey Programs this semester. Her supervisors are Kristina Riley at Ossian and Cindy Schlichter at Lancaster. Brooklynn is the daughter of Zane and Jamie Pine.
Safety is a top priority for all latchkey workers at Northern Wells Schools. Brooklynn helps parents to sign their children in and out of the facility. She also helps with breakfast and afternoon snacks, leads activities, and assists students with homework and iPads. Brooklynn has been very gracious to help out in the mornings and afternoons as latchkey is an important part of the elementary school education program at NWCS.
After graduation, Brooklynn plans to study sonography at either Southern Indiana University or the University of Findley in Ohio. Her focus will be on cardiac, vascular, and ultra-sounds.
