Congratulations to NHS student Kaden Rittmeyer and classmates, Mark McKinley (SA), Keaton Bush (AC), Will Mawhorr (SA) and Dakota Sprunger (SA)! This is the first year South Adams Machine Trades joined the Project MFG contest. In Mid-December, they sent in the parts the students machined, welded and 3D printed. In February, they learned that out of 80 Colleges and High Schools in the United States that participated in the preliminary round that their team was in the top 16 and moving on to Regionals at Texas A&M in College Station, Texas March 5-8!
This is one of the most talked about and challenging machining contests in the nation. These students will be competing AGAINST colleges and other high schools for a chance to participate in the National contest which is part of the Reality TV show “Clash of the Trades”!
