Senior Makenzie Fuess has been selected to receive the Norwell Internship Spotlight award. She has been doing her experience at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur with OPA [Orthopedic Physician's Assistant] Erin Whitman. Makenzie is the daughter of Rob and Joye Fuess.
Makenzie has spent her internship time observing surgeries involving knees, clavicles, hips, and toes. She has also watched castings, infusions, pin removals, along with follow-up appointments.
After graduation, Makenzie plans to attend the University of Saint Francis to study biology and play basketball. She eventually will enroll in the USF PA Grad Program to become a Physician's Assistant.
