Senior Rachel Bauermeister has been selected to receive the Norwell High School Internship Spotlight award. She has been doing her experience at Fort Wayne Orthopedics Optimum Performance Therapy with Physical Therapist Caitlyn Ailor. Rachel is the daughter of Brian and Sheryl Bauermeister.
Rachel has spent a great deal of time observing exercise techniques for post-surgery patients. She has assisted with exercise equipment, sterilizing, and getting ice and towels when needed. She has also learned a lot from interacting with the clients.
Upon graduation, Rachel plans to study kinesiology at Purdue University. Her ultimate career goal is to become a physical therapist.
