Junior Drew Thomas has been selected to receive the Norwell Internship Spotlight award. Drew did her first semester experience with Norwell Athletics Director Mr. Kelby Weybright. This semester, she has been with MAC Training out of Fort Wayne with mentor Brett McQuilkin. Drew is the daughter of Matt and Rachel Thomas.
With Mr. Weybright, Drew was very helpful with the setting up of sporting events. Fall sports included football, boys soccer, boys tennis, cross country, along with swimming and basketball. Drew assisted with ticket booths, tables and chairs, field markers, and various signs. She also learned to do posts on social media.
MAC Training is a weight-lifting training center for adults and young athletes trying to better themselves physically and competitively. Drew helps set up classes and also keeps data for tracking weight lifting, running times, and various individual drills.
After graduation, Drew plans to attend college to study business marketing. Her focus will be on athletics, rodeos, and general marketing training.
